  • In 1982, Klein introduced Calvin Klein Underwear, which turned the perception of men’s underwear to one of a fashionable item. Underwear was no longer just a practical product, rather one that suggested sex appeal, and one that told men that they too can look like a “macho”. Klein then moved to a perfume line.

Christian LaCroix

Christian LaCroix
  • Born: 1951, Arles, France.

Claude Montana

Claude Montana
  • Born: 1949, in Paris, France.
  • Claude Montana travelled to London in 1971 and began his career by designing papier-mache jewelry encrusted with rhinestones. He returned to Paris in 1972 to design biker’s leathers for the MacDouglas leather company. His company was founded in 1979 and two years later he presented his first collection Hommes Montana. In 1984 founded the Montana Fragrances Company. Montana designed haute couture for the House of Lanvin 1990-92, where he won two consecutive Golden Thimble awards. He is a member of the Chambre Syndicale du Pret-a-Porter, the French trade association for the fashion industry.

Custo Barcelona

  • Custo and David Dalmau fashion empire was created in the early 1980’s when both went on a round-the-world motorcycle trip and returned to Barcelona impressed by California lifestyle. In 1996 they premiered their signature line Custo Barcelona based on knits and colorful t-shirts that were a real innovation in Spain. Custo Barcelona chose the American market to unveil their new line with unique illustrations and intricate details such as embroidery, foil and metal graphics.
