  • Denier is a unit of weight used to measure the fineness of silk and man-made fibers, especially when woven into women’s tights.
  • The example shown is a Beautycode Slimming & Firming 15 denier pantyhose.

Denim

Denim
  • Denim is a rugged, wrap faced, twill weave cotton or blended fabric.
    - The most popular color is blue followed by black and dark green. The warp is dyed blue or green with a white filling.
  • As in jeans and jackets the heavier the weight, the more durable the fabric is.
  • Twill weave cotton-like fabric made with different colored yarns in the wrap and weft.
  • Denim is becoming popular in home and stores or booths decoration.
  • Denim is also called ‘dungaree’.

Diamond neck

  • A diamond-shaped cutout that fastens at the front or back neckline.

Dolman sleeve

  • Cut as an extension of the bodice, the dolman sleeve is designed without a socket for the shoulder, creating a deep, wide armhole that reaches from the waist to a narrowed wrist.
  • Also called a batwing sleeve. (See batwing)
