Racer-back
- This bra is named after racing swimsuits that also have straps meeting in a “V” shape on the back between the shoulder blades.
- This bra style is an excellent solution for sleeveless tops. It also prevents straps from slipping off the shoulders.
Raglan sleeve
- Sleeve that extends in one piece to the neckline of a coat or sweater with seams from the armhole to the neck, most commonly seen in baseball style t-shirts.
Raincoat
- water-resistant coat used to protect the body from rain.
- a garment to protect the body from rain.
Rise
- The rise is the measurement between the waistband and the first horizontal seam of a panty. The average brief or panty has a 9″ rise. A low rise is when the rise measurment is 7″ or less.
- In the picture a high rise panty.
Robe
- A short or long flowing outer garment; especially one used for ceremonial occasions or as a symbol of office or profession.
- A loose garment (as a bathrobe) for informal wear especially at home.
Romper
- A one-piece garment with the lower part shaped like bloomers.
