A lingerie’s advert for Elle (a.k.a. The Body) published in Vogue and shot by Bendon UK, was banned as it was ruled “offensive” by the ASA. The advert included a photograph of Elle wearing just a bra and knickers. Her thumbs were inside her knickers and a reader who contacted the ASA complained it suggesting the model was performing an indecent act.
